NYX Hot Single Eyeshadows at Ulta / Target

Dude! NYX eyeshadows are AMAZING! I have 7 shades, which I’m reviewing today, and 2 of their palettes; one of which I just purchased recently & will be reviewing very soon!

I love these little babies. Their formula is great. They’re easy to blend, have pretty decent pigmentation – that bright purple shade & the white shade are super pigmented, and have cute Mac-like packaging.

These are priced at $4.49 at Ulta and come in 44 shades. They have a variety of matte to shimmer in finish.

I love how they aren’t too incredibly expensive, but feel very luxurious and look amazing on the eyes!

They are most comparable to MAC Eyeshadows, yet a fraction of the price!
THE SHADES:

Pixi – shimmery champagne

Fancy That – shimmery copper (*)

Immaculate – matte pinky flesh tone (*)

Whipped Cream – matte white (*)

SOS – matte greyish taupe

Own The Night – matte dark brown (*)

Ultraviolet – matte vibrant purple (*)

Here are two looks I created using these shadows: a Neutral Day time, and a playful Night time!

DAY TIME:

Step 1: Place Immaculate all over eyelid as an eyeshadow base.

Step 2: Sweep “Fancy That” all over the eyelid.

Step 3: Place “Pixi” in the inner corner of the eye and along the brow bone for an added glow.

Step 4: Add brown pencil eyeliner to your upper waterline

Step 5: Apply mascara

I like to pair this look with bronzer, plenty of highlighter, peach blush, and a peach lip gloss.
NIGHT TIME:

Step 1: Place Immaculate all over the lid, up to the brow bone as a base shade.

Step 2: Blend SOS through the crease as a transition shade.

Step 3: Pat Whipped Cream all over the eyelid.

Step 4: Using a small crease brush, put Own The Night in the crease, blending it into a cat eye shape.

Step 5: Blend the edges of the darker color.

Step 6: Touch up the Whipped Cream shade on the eyelid if needed.

Step 7: Use Immaculate again to highlight the brow bone.

Step 8: Apply Pixi in the inner corner of the eyes.

Step 9: Using a smudge brush or eyeliner brush, apply Ultraviolet along the lower lash line for a bright pop of color.

Step 10: Using liquid eyeliner, create a classic cat eye flick.

Step 11: Line your upper water line and lower water line with a purple pencil eyeliner.

Step 12: Add mascara (False lashes optional).

I like to pair this look with bold brows, a slight amount of bronzer, and a sheer purple lipstick.

Nude lipstick is a highly recommended alternative.
Thanks for reading, beauties! XXX
