There are 3 different shades of the dream catchers palette & today I’m going to review the one in “Golden Horizons.”
I’ve found this palette and it’s a great dupe for the original Urban Decay Naked Palette! It has neutral colors, similar tones to the Urban Decay one, as well as similar finishes.
As you can see, not every shade is a dupe, but each palette has the same essence.
Both are neutral palettes that can be used to create very natural looks, or more smokey looks.
Each have more brown, bronzey, & cocoa shades.
Similarities: Shades. Blending ability. Full length mirror.
UD: Pigmentation wins. 12 shades. Magnetic flap with felt packaging. Includes eyeshadow brush. Includes deluxe sample of eyeshadow primer.
NYX: 10 shades. Plastic, sturdy packaging that snaps closed. Comes with foam sponge applicator.
Urban Decay Palette: $54.00 online ULTA BEAUTY & SEPHORA.
NYX Palette: $15.00 online ULTA BEAUTY & TARGET.
The palette comes with 10 shades in a circle-pan, horizontal palette.
It has a slide out mirror feature, where it includes a long handle sponge applicator for the product.
It snaps closed, feels nice and sturdy and is made of plastic.
The shades are not named.
They do crease – so be sure to wear a primer if you have oily eyelids, and overall look really pretty in the palette and on the eyes.
I do recommend!
There are 10 Shades…
Shade 1: Shimmery nude, champagne shade.
Shade 2: Aubergine-plum shade with golden taupe shimmer (FAVORITE)
Shade 3: Light matte neutral brown (great for blonde brows)
Shade 4: Medium matte neutral brown (great for brunette brows)
Shade 5: Dark gold with tangerine shimmer
Shade 6: Matte White
Shade 7: Rose Gold with bronze shimmer (FAVORITE!)
Shade 8: Dark matte neutral brown (great for dark brows)
Shade 9: Frosted light pink
Shade 10: Cool grey with light blue-silver shimmer
Step 1: Blend the Light Matte brown through the crease
Step 2: Mix together the bronze shade with rosegold shimmer & the plummy color and apply on the eyelid.
Step 3: Use a fluffy brush and add the tangerine dark golden shade through the crease to warm things up.
Step 4: Highlight the brow bone & inner corner with the shimmery champagne.
Step 5: Add mascara to upper & lower lashes
I paired this look with BB cream, a peach blush and nude lip gloss to keep things looking natural, beachy and pretty.
I would have to say I like this palette, I’m not crazy in love with it, but I do like it. If you’re looking for a nice dupe of the Urban Decay Naked palette, I’d give this one a check out. I like it better than some of the other dupe options. Honestly, I think the UD palette is worth the money – so if you can afford it, go for it!
Thanks for reading, beauties! XXX
